A+ in Baby

Today I turned 4 months old! I don't know about you, but I was pretty excited.

I even slept a little later than usual, just to show how mature I am. But then, just so I remember my place, my parents did a few things I did not approve of.

First of all, they put me in the bath again. These days I am willing to tolerate it, but don't be fooled by the relative quiet: this nonsense cannot go on for much longer!

Second, they took me to the doctor for my routine check up. Everything seemed just fine at first. People were nice to me, I smiled at everyone, even laughed at the doctor and tried to have a little conversation. Apparently I am growing very well. I now weigh 15 1/2 pounds, and am 25.25 inches tall. The doctor said I was doing just excellent, and that I get an A+ in Baby. Of course I do! Silly doctor. I thought things were going to continue in the same vein. Wrong! All of a sudden, they stabbed me with long needles! Again! What is wrong with this world??
Anyway, I had a good nap afterwards.

Later that afternoon I started feeling a little weird. My mom said I shouldn't worry, and that it happens to the cat, too, every time he gets his shots. Great, like that helps me. But Tylenol helped. I gather everything looks better when you're on drugs.

Speaking of the cat, we're really getting closer. Yesterday I petted him, and he was purring. He was so soft, and so black-and-white! Sadly, just as I was about to tear off some of his fur to see what it tastes like, Papa put an end to it. Probably just didn't want to share.
Today we hung out again. I enjoyed rubbing my forehead on him. To show my gratitude I left some drool on his back. I'll try to taste him again next time.

That's it for now. I'll leave you with another photo of me with my best friend, Shoshi the Dragonfly (שושי השפירית). I think of her as proof that some things in this world are actually very good. Like, sometimes you get just what you need, even if you don't know you needed it, or who gave it to you.
Shoshi came in a package, and my parents can't figure out who sent it. But she is the most beautiful thing in the world. She has large wings and when you grab them they make a nice crinkly sound. On one side she's all black and white, and on the other very colorful. Oh, I could go on forever. . .

Good night everyone!
Love,
Leo

Things are Happening

So one time, the window in the living room was just so funny.

I got this beautiful blanket (Thank you, Penny!); we went out on the porch together.

I have many stylish outfits. Here are some photos of me modeling them:

(Looks like my future is already known!
I got this shirt from Arielle and Yann.)

I have a rabbit in my pocket. The pocket of my cool jeans overalls (which I got from Elinor and Uriel).

I am a baby hipster (my dad picked these out for me).

The cat and I, though not very close, share a love of sunshine.

On Saturday morning (after they washed me again, but I'd rather not talk about that) we went out to brunch at a very happening place. We took the car. I watched myself in the mirror all the way there.

Everyone had what seemed like complicated food. I just sat there to be admired by the crowds (this outfit I got from Kathy).

I spend hours every day playing in my gymnasium (Israelis call it University; Americans call it Baby Gym). You will not believe the stuff those toys are up to. Especially that huge dragonfly with black-and-white wings.

Grandma and I have serious conversations.

And, once again, I wake up from a nap to find myself at the museum.

At one point I thought we'd had enough for one day. Papa practiced kiss therapy, and I was convinced to stay a little longer. I fell asleep in the Japanese woodblock prints exhibit, though. Mama was disappointed, because apparently she loves that stuff.

Good night, everyone!

Reaching Out

My parents are too lazy to type up the captions I came up with, or to upload the audio and video files they took of me. So I decided to just upload the photos which show what I've been up to (mostly: reaching for my toys and  playing with them).

Outfit and accessories credits: the sleep-sack from Lydie; striped red outfit from Hedy; grey knit outfit from the McKillops; swing from Lauren, Andreas and Rafa; bouncy chair and pink lamb from Martin, Kirsten and Ellie; blue blanket from Shlomit.
